Diverging from the gritty and rough sounds of the mainline label releases, the WORSHIPLEFT series introduces a space for more left of field & minimal productions. Taking the lead on this series is New York based producer Bloodhound.

⚇ We’ve also teamed up with the elusive CloudCore label to include a limited number of CloudKeys in this release. These keys will allow you to redeem “Bloodhound - Subtrac” from their website. This track was an early release and no longer available to buy - it is available exclusively through CloudKeys. You can find the CloudKey in the zip file when you download WORSHIPLEFT001 through Bandcamp. ⚇

Bloodhound comes through with surgically precise and clean production on all 3 tracks, each one taking a new angle on an archetypal underground UK genre.

“Save/From” merges the sounds of Bristol’s post-dubstep scene with New York’s unique approach to techno, intertwined with signature Bloodhound production. The track emerges with disorienting, buzzing synths and progresses with a stuttered techno groove slathered in viscous bass.

“Tentative” is a view down the lens of dubstep in a universe where its inception reflected a modern utopia as opposed to the bleak and discouraging cityscapes of South London. The track grips onto the quintessential halftime 2-step and hollow echoed percussion, but complements with psychedelic scattered vocal samples and airy, nostalgic pads.

Rounding off the EP is “Djum”, a tense skeletal take on drum and bass, replacing the standard heavy basslines with tight polyrhythmic drumwork. The metallic percussion takes the forefront, giving way to incredibly cathartic sub hits and sparse, distant breakbeats.
